Transcribe system audio from meeting tools and media players on your computer. Kalima captures the sound on the device, so no recorder bot or meeting-platform app joins the call.

Meeting detection can show the Meeting Assist panel, start with one click, or begin recording automatically when your settings allow it. With the Kalima extension for Chrome, Edge, and Brave, it also notices calls in Google Meet and other browser meetings. Choose the mode and which detected apps Kalima should ignore.

Desktop updates download and install through the app, with settings for startup and background behavior. You can also check for an update manually when you want to confirm the installed version.

No meeting admin approval

Because Kalima captures audio on your computer, it does not require a bot account, a calendar guest, or a meeting-platform add-on approved by an organizer. Normal device permissions still apply.

Stay in your meeting app

While you record, a small widget floats on top of every app with the time, your level, a Moment button and Stop. Open it to name the session and choose where it is filed, without switching back to Kalima.

Local source recordings

Audio and screen source recordings stay on your device. Privacy Mode keeps the Kalima window out of supported screen sharing, while the transcript and account data remain available through your normal Kalima session.

No. Kalima records the system audio available on your own computer, so it does not join Microsoft Teams as a participant and does not add a Teams app to the meeting. That avoids organizer approval for a meeting bot or platform integration. Your operating system may still ask for audio or screen permissions on the device.
Privacy Mode keeps the Kalima window out of supported screen sharing, so your transcript is not shown by accident along with the content you present. Turn it on before sharing and confirm how your meeting tool handles windows on your operating system. Privacy Mode does not change your obligation to inform participants or obtain consent where recording rules require it.
