No. Kalima captures audio from your own machine or browser, so nothing joins your call as a participant. Other people do not see a recorder bot in the room, and you do not need to invite an extra account before the meeting starts. You remain responsible for telling participants and obtaining any consent required for recording.
On clear audio, the transcript keeps pace with the speaker and usually appears within about a second. Preliminary words settle into confirmed text as the session continues. This lets you read along during the discussion instead of waiting for notes after the call, while the final transcript remains available for review and correction.
Kalima keeps capturing locally and reconnects when the network returns. Recovered words are added to the same transcript, and the interface marks recovery clearly so you can review what happened. A brief outage therefore does not automatically create a permanent hole, although a device crash or missing audio source can still limit what was captured.

Yes. Choose the mixed source when you need your microphone and the sound from the meeting on the same session. The desktop app handles native system audio from the call while your microphone captures your side. Check both sources before the discussion begins, use headphones to reduce echo, and watch the level indicators so one side is not missing from the transcript.
