What's new in Kalima.

• Drag the widget anywhere: it snaps into place and tucks away as a slim tab at the side of the screen.
• Switch Privacy mode right in the widget, and it stays out of your screen share like every Kalima window.
• Choose when the widget appears, whether it starts collapsed or expanded, and how it looks under Settings, Audio & recording.
• Continue recording in a session that already has audio, and the clock shows the session's full length.
• New sessions start on the sound source you last recorded with on that computer.

• Under Tasks you find the tasks from all your summaries, grouped by session.
• Choosing a plan and topping up your balance each open as a page of their own.
• A file you want to transcribe sits at the top with a player. Voice messages from WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal get a readable name such as "Voice message from Oct 6".
• Search hits show the passage around the word you searched for.
• Your phone's lock screen, the browser's media controls and the play and pause keys control the recording player.
• Sign-in and sign-up fit the screen without scrolling.

• The prompt opens as a wide card at the bottom centre of your screen, just above the taskbar. Drag it wherever you like, and it opens there next time.
• Screen recording, recording in the background and context are under "More options".
• With "Record future meetings without asking" ticked, Kalima records future meetings on its own once it is sure one has started. You can switch back under Settings, Meetings.
• The desktop setting that keeps Kalima windows out of screen shares is called Privacy mode.

• Your assistant reviews up to 20 recordings at a time and files them only once you confirm.
• Assistants quote speakers by the names you gave them in Kalima.
• The approval page for AI tools and the Connected apps list follow your interface language, and each app shows where it connects from.

• The padlock next to your languages restricts recognition to up to three languages, and every new session starts with it closed. Opening it asks first and applies to that session only.
• In Safari and Firefox, Kalima records your microphone and says so under the sound sources, with a link to the desktop app, which records computer audio too.
• Close the browser's share dialog without sharing, and Kalima offers to record with your microphone only.

Chapters from the AI summary

When you create an AI summary, Kalima also splits the recording into chapters with their own titles.

Chapters in the player

The audio timeline leaves a small gap between chapters, and hovering it shows the chapter and time under the pointer. The chapter button next to the playback speed names the chapter that is playing and opens a list of all chapters, so you can jump straight to any of them.
