Take a meeting into Claude or ChatGPT, with the transcript already loaded
You already write follow-up emails with Claude or ChatGPT. The new AI tools tab hands them the meeting: one click opens a new chat with the session loaded and an instruction ready, and every timestamp in the answer leads back to the recording.
The meeting is over and the work starts: a follow-up email to everyone who was there, the action items in the team channel, a short note on what was decided. Many people do that work in Claude or ChatGPT now. The awkward part was getting the meeting in there: copy the transcript, paste it, explain what you want, hope it fits.
Kalima now does that hand-over for you. Every session has an AI tools tab next to Summary and Chat. One click opens a new chat in Claude or ChatGPT that already knows which session you mean, with an instruction you picked.
Pick how the chat should start
The tab offers ready instructions:
| Instruction | What the assistant does |
|---|---|
| Just load the session | Sums it up in two sentences and waits for your questions |
| Email to participants | Drafts an email with the outcomes and next steps |
| Action items | Lists who does what by when |
| Decisions and open questions | Separates what was decided from what is still open |
| Follow live | While the session is still recording: tracks it and fetches what was said since before each answer |
The full text of the instruction is shown before you send it, and you can change it. Then click Open in Claude or Open in ChatGPT.
What travels in the link, and what does not
The link that opens the chat carries the instruction, the session's title and date, and its Kalima ID. It does not carry the transcript. Your assistant fetches the transcript from Kalima itself, over a connection you approved once, and only what you can open in Kalima yourself.
That has two practical effects. Long meetings work, because nothing has to fit into a URL or your clipboard. And access stays revocable: under Settings › Integrations › Connected apps you see every assistant that can read your recordings, and Revoke cuts it off with its next request.
Kalima also copies the instruction when you click, in case the chat window does not pick it up. Paste it and carry on.
Connect once
If no assistant is connected yet, the tab shows how:
- Claude: Connect Claude opens Claude's dialog with Kalima already filled in. You click Add and allow the access in Kalima.
- ChatGPT: connecting needs ChatGPT's developer mode. A short guide walks you through the steps.
The connection is part of every Kalima plan, including the free one. By default the assistant may only read your recordings and transcripts. Reading your saved AI summaries, and filing recordings into projects, are separate permissions you can grant on the same screen.
No connection, or a different tool? Copy for AI copies the transcript with a short instruction, ready to paste into Gemini, Copilot or anything else.
Back from the answer to the recording
When Claude or ChatGPT shows you a Kalima transcript or search results, it shows them as a readable view: speakers in colour, timestamps beside each passage. Every timestamp is a link. Click it and Kalima opens the recording with the player at exactly that moment.
That matters more than it sounds. An assistant that says "the budget was approved at 23:40" is making a claim. Being able to hear 23:40 in one click is how you check it before the claim ends up in an email to your manager.
What else the assistant can do with Kalima
Once connected, the assistant works across all your recordings, not only the one you opened:
- Search across meetings. "What did we tell Müller GmbH about the delivery date?" The assistant can look for several people, customers or topics in one question.
- Quote people by name. Speakers come through with the names you gave them in Kalima, not as Speaker 2.
- Follow a meeting that is still running. Ask what was just decided while the recording continues.
- Tidy up. Ask it to file recordings that have no project. It suggests a place for each one, you review the list, change or skip entries, and confirm. Nothing moves before you confirm.

Send meeting transcripts, summaries and tasks to your other tools automatically
A transcript that stays in Kalima helps the person who recorded it. A summary that lands in the team channel by itself helps everyone. Kalima now connects to Zapier, n8n and Make, and has a REST API for everything else.
