Kalima Referral Program: Invite and Earn Minutes
Share your referral link, understand activation and subscription rewards, and track referral milestones.
Invite someone to Kalima and both of you receive transcription time once they activate their account. Your friend gets 3 hours, and you get 1 hour. If they later start a paid plan, you receive another 5 hours after a 30-day hold.
Activation means that the invited person has verified their email address and recorded at least 10 minutes in total. The Referral tab always shows the current rewards and your progress.
How it works
Every Kalima account comes with a personal referral link and a short code. When someone uses either one to create an account, Kalima connects that account to yours. Activation rewards are credited after the person verifies their email and reaches 10 recorded minutes in total.
The rewards are paid in transcription minutes that are added to your balance, the same minutes you spend on live recording and file uploads. There is nothing extra to redeem.
Find your referral link and stats
Your link points to a public referral page at /ref followed by your code, so anyone who opens it lands on a welcome page already connected to your invite. Your friend simply creates an account from there.

The activation bonus gives your friend three hours to try recordings, summaries, and translation before choosing a paid plan.
Monthly limit
You can earn activation rewards for up to 25 referrals per calendar month. Once you reach the cap, people can still activate their accounts, but you do not receive another base reward for that month. Subscription bonuses and milestone rewards are tracked separately.
Your Referral tab shows your monthly progress. It also tracks milestones: 3 activated referrals earn 3 hours, 5 earn 8 hours, 10 earn 20 hours, and 25 earn 30 days of Plus. Every further block of 25 earns that top milestone again. If you already have a paid plan, the Plus milestone is converted to 20 hours.
Things to know
Referral rewards are added directly to your transcription balance as free minutes. You spend them like any other minutes, on live recording and uploaded files, and Kalima draws from your included and earned minutes before any prepaid credits.
No. You cannot refer your own account, and an invalid or unrecognized code is simply ignored at signup. Each new account can be credited to one referrer.
The 5-hour subscription bonus is credited 30 days after the referred person's first successful payment, provided the subscription still qualifies.
They must create their account through your referral link or enter your code at signup, verify their email, and record 10 minutes in total. Check the Referral tab to see which step is still pending.
The default reward and monthly-cap values can be adjusted by Kalima. The amounts shown on your Referral tab and your referral page are always the current values, so treat those as the source of truth.
