Moments and Global Tasks

Mark important moments while recording and review action items from all summarized sessions in one Tasks view.

Moments and Tasks help you return to what matters without taking notes during the conversation. Moments are private marks you create while recording. The global Tasks view gathers action items that Kalima found in your saved AI summaries.

Capture a moment

Moment capture is available in the Kalima desktop app. While a recording is running, press the Add moment shortcut shown in the Moments panel and in desktop shortcut settings. Kalima saves the exact position without interrupting the recording.

Afterward, Kalima gives each mark a short title and categorizes it as a decision, action, question, quote, or note. In the Moments panel you can:

  • search titles and nearby transcript text;
  • filter by category;
  • click a moment to jump to the matching audio and transcript;
  • rename or delete a moment;
  • copy all visible moments.
Note

Moments remain private to you even when you share the session. They can be viewed from the web after capture, but the shortcut itself works only in the desktop app.

Review tasks across sessions

Open Tasks from the Studio navigation to see action items from your summarized sessions in the active workspace. New items appear automatically when a summary contains tasks. Clearing a summary or deleting its session removes the corresponding items.

You can search tasks, filter by project, show items without an owner, highlight items older than seven days, and choose a 7-day, 30-day, or all-time window. Group the list by session, project, person, or not at all. Selecting an item opens its source session and jumps to the quoted transcript passage.

Note

The global Tasks view is a roll-up of summary results, not a separate to-do system. Items have no completion status or checkbox. Regenerating a summary can update the tasks shown here.
