Give Kalima Support Access to the Console

Grant Kalima support time-limited, read-only or read-write access to your company's console, and see what it can never do.

You can give Kalima support access to your company's console for a limited time, for example when it should take a closer look at a request of yours. You decide whether it may only read or also make changes, and you can end the access at any time.

Open Settings, find Kalima support and choose Open. Owners and admins grant the access.

Grant access

1
Go to the section Grant access. It appears while support has no access.
2
Under Access, choose Read only (support sees the console as an admin does and cannot change anything) or Read and write (support can also make changes, for example to teams, policies and members, except what is listed below).
3
Under Duration, choose 24 hours or 2 to 7 days, counted from now. The access then ends by itself.
4
Optionally add a Note (optional), for example the number of your request. It goes into the audit log and is visible to Kalima support.
5
Choose Grant access. The console may ask for your second factor first.

Change lets you pick access and duration again, counted from now. End early ends the access at once, also in a console support has open right now.

What Kalima support sees

  • Recordings stay locked: no transcripts, no audio, no summaries and no titles, as for every admin.
  • It sees the areas an admin sees. What only the owner sees, such as legal hold, stays hidden.
  • Every page it opens and everything it does goes into the audit log, as Kalima support with the name of the person at Kalima.
  • Allowed networks do not apply to Kalima support. By granting access you allow it explicitly.
  • While the access runs, a banner in the console shows support the mode and the end time.

What support can never do

Even with Read and write, Kalima support cannot:

  • transfer ownership, delete or export the company
  • grant, change or end its own access
  • change roles, invite admins, give console roles, end memberships, manage invitation links or the seat request setting
  • suspend, sign out or reactivate owners, admins and people with a console role
  • change anything under Sign-in & security, such as required two-factor, session length, domains, SCIM, single sign-on (SSO) or allowed networks
  • manage API keys and webhooks, set up or change legal hold and audit streaming
  • change the deletion rules: retention periods, separate audio deletion and zero data retention
  • open Manage payment or change the billing details

It may, for example, approve seat requests and invite members.
