Create Your Account

Sign up with email or Google, verify your email, and get your account ready.

Creating a Kalima account takes about a minute. You can sign up with an email and password or continue with Google, and once your email is verified you have full access to live transcription, file uploads, and AI features.

Two ways to sign up

Pick whichever is easiest for you. Both methods give you the same account and the same access to every feature. The only difference is how you sign in afterward.

You can register with your name, email, and a password you choose, which is best if you don't use Google. Or you can continue with Google in one click, with no separate password to remember, which is best for a quick sign-up.

Note

If you arrived from a pricing page or a friend's referral link, sign up the same way. Your plan selection or referral bonus is carried through automatically.

Sign up with email and password

1

Open the Create account (Sign up) page from the login screen, a pricing plan, or a referral link.

2

Enter your first name and surname.

3

Enter your email address. Use a real, permanent address, because disposable and throwaway email providers are not accepted.

4

Choose a password that meets all four requirements shown on the form (see below). Each requirement turns green as you satisfy it.

5

Re-type the same password in Confirm Password. The two must match.

6

Tick the box to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

7

Complete the quick bot-verification check if it appears, then select Create account.

Password requirements

Your password must contain:

  • At least 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number

You can use the show/hide toggle on the password fields to confirm you typed it correctly before continuing.

Sign up with Google

Prefer not to manage another password? Use Google instead.

1

On the login or registration page, select Continue with Google.

2

Choose your Google account and approve access.

3

You are returned to Kalima and signed in. On your first use, your account is created automatically from your Google profile.

Note

Accounts created with Google do not have a Kalima password, so the "Forgot password" flow does not apply to them. Just choose Continue with Google each time you sign in. This is also how you sign in to the desktop app.

Verify your email

Right after you sign up, Kalima sends a welcome email with a verification link. Verifying confirms you own the address, helps protect your account, and unlocks the rest of the app.

1

Open the welcome email from Kalima.

2

Select the verification link. You land on a confirmation page showing success.

3

Select Continue to Kalima to return to the app.

Note

Don't see the email within a minute or two? Check your spam or junk folder. If it still hasn't arrived, use Resend verification email in the in-app reminder dialog.

What verifying unlocks

You can browse Kalima right away, but a few features stay locked until your email is verified:

  • New sessions. Start recording and create live transcription sessions.
  • AI features. Generate summaries, chat with a transcript, and use AutoCorrect+.
  • Privacy actions. Request a copy of your data or delete your account.

A verification status badge appears in your profile so you can always check whether you're verified.

  • Verification links expire 24 hours after they're sent. If yours has lapsed, request a fresh one.
  • You can resend up to 3 times per 5 minutes, and the in-app Resend button has a short 60-second cooldown between sends.

After you sign up: a quick onboarding

The first time you sign in, Kalima walks you through a short, optional setup so you're ready for your first recording.

1

Answer (or skip) a brief welcome questionnaire.

2

Choose your preferred transcription languages so the right languages are pre-selected for new sessions.

3

Take (or skip) the guided tour of the interface.

Every step is optional and your progress is remembered, so you can skip anything you don't need and come back later. You can revisit your preferred languages any time in your language settings.

Idea

Have a referral code from a friend? Signing up through their link gives you bonus transcription time, and rewards them too. Learn more about the referral program.

Frequently asked questions

Your password needs at least 8 characters and must include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. The sign-up form shows each requirement turning green as you meet it.

First, check your spam or junk folder. If it isn't there, use the Resend verification email button in the in-app reminder dialog. You can resend up to 3 times per 5 minutes, with a 60-second cooldown between sends. Verification links expire after 24 hours, so request a fresh one if your old link has lapsed.

You can browse the app right away, but some features stay locked until you verify. These include starting new sessions, AI features like summaries and chat, and privacy actions such as data export and account deletion. Verifying takes just one click from your welcome email.

No. Throwaway and disposable email providers are blocked at sign-up. Please use a real, permanent personal or work email address.

For Gmail addresses, dots and plus-aliases are treated as the same address, so "john.doe+test" and "johndoe" map to one account. You cannot create a second account from an alias of an email that's already registered. Sign in instead, or use Forgot password to recover access.

Both create the same account with full access to every feature. Google sign-up is one click with no password to manage; email sign-up is best if you don't use Google or prefer a dedicated password. You can't switch the sign-in method later, so pick the one you'll keep using.

Your signed-in session can take a short moment to catch up after verifying. It usually refreshes on its own. If the reminder persists, sign out and back in to update your session.
